How to Add Facebook Photo Albums to Your Shopify Store (Blog Posts & Pages)
Your Facebook page already has great photo albums: product shoots, events, customer photos, behind-the-scenes moments. With the Hura Album app, you can show those albums inside any Shopify blog post or page, and new photos you add on Facebook appear on your store automatically. No coding, no re-uploading.
In this tutorial, you’ll connect Facebook to Hura Album, copy an album embed code, and add it to a blog post and a page. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

What you need
- A Shopify store with the Hura Album: Photo Gallery app installed (5-day free trial, then $4.99/month).
- A Facebook account that manages the Facebook page whose albums you want to show.
- The Hura Album app embed turned on in your live theme (the app’s Setup guide has a Turn on app embed button for this).
Part 1: Connect your Facebook account
Step 1: Open Hura Album and click Connect Facebook
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps > Hura Album. On the dashboard, find the Facebook albums card and click Connect Facebook (or open Facebook albums in the app menu).

Step 2: Click “Get a Facebook token”
Hura Album reads your albums with a Facebook access token. Click Get a Facebook token. The token page opens in a new tab.

Step 3: Log in with Facebook
On the token page, click Login with Facebook. The page asks for permission to read the Facebook pages you manage. It doesn’t save your token.

Step 4: Allow access to your pages
Facebook shows a confirmation window. Click Continue. If this is your first time, choose Edit settings to pick exactly which pages Hura Album can read.

Step 5: Copy your access token
You’ll see a token for your account and one for each page you manage. Copy the whole token from the box (click inside the box, press Ctrl+A / Cmd+A, then copy).

Keep your token private. An access token works like a password for your Facebook pages. Don’t post it in screenshots, support chats or forums. The tokens and page names in this tutorial are fake demo values.
Step 6: Paste the token and click Connect
Go back to the Hura Album tab, paste the token into the Facebook access token field (1), then click Connect (2). Hura Album stores the token encrypted and only uses it to read your albums.

Part 2: Get the embed code of an album
Step 7: Pick an album and click Get embed code
After connecting, Hura Album syncs your albums and lists them with their page, photo count, and date. Use the search box or the All pages filter to find an album, then click Get embed code. If you’ve just added a new album on Facebook, click Sync albums first.

Step 8: Choose a layout
Pick how the album should look on your store. The preview updates as you switch:
- Grid: square thumbnails in neat rows.
- Justified rows: photos keep their shape and fill each row edge to edge.
- Slideshow: one large photo at a time with arrows, great at the top of a page.

Step 9: Copy the code
Click Copy code. A shortcode like this is copied to your clipboard:
1 | <div class="hmak-facebook-album-grid" data-album-id="326495467873381"></div> |

Prefer the theme editor? Click Add as theme block instead to place the album with drag and drop.
Part 3: Add the Facebook album to a blog post
Step 10: Create a blog post and switch to HTML view
Go to Content > Blog posts > Add blog post (or open an existing post). Enter a title and any intro text, then click the Show HTML button (</>) in the editor toolbar.

Step 11: Paste the embed code
Put your cursor where the album should appear and paste the code on its own line.

Step 12: Make it visible and save
Set Visibility to Visible (1) when you’re ready to publish, then click Save (2).

Result: the album inside your blog post
Open the post on your store. The Facebook album shows right where you pasted the code:

Shoppers can click any photo to view it full size in a lightbox and swipe through the album:

Part 4: Add the Facebook album to a page
Pages work the same way. For a gallery page, a slideshow often looks better than a grid.
Step 1: Copy a code with the layout you want
In Hura Album, click Get embed code on an album, choose Slideshow (1), and click Copy code (2).

Step 2: Create a page and switch to HTML view
Go to Online Store > Pages > Add page. Enter a title (for example, Photo Gallery) and click the Show HTML button.

Step 3: Paste the code, set Visible, and save
Paste the code (1), set the page to Visible, and click Save (2).

Result: a Facebook album slideshow on your page

Tip: add the page to your menu in Online Store > Navigation so shoppers can find it.
Troubleshooting
- The album doesn’t show on the storefront. Make sure the Hura Album app embed is turned on in your live theme (Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds) and saved.
- The code disappeared after saving. Paste it in the HTML view, not the visual editor, so Shopify keeps the div tag.
- A new Facebook album is missing. Click Sync albums on the Facebook albums screen.
- A page’s albums aren’t listed. Get a new token and make sure that page is selected in Edit settings when you log in with Facebook.
- “Invalid token” error. Copy the whole token again. Tokens stop working if you change your Facebook password or remove the app’s access.
FAQ
Do new Facebook photos appear on my store automatically?
Yes. The embed code points to the album, not to single photos, so new photos you add to that album on Facebook show up on your store.
Can I use the same code in product descriptions?
Yes. Paste it in the product description’s HTML view, or in a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor.
Can I show my own photos instead of Facebook albums?
Yes. Use Galleries in Hura Album to upload your own photos (up to 250 per gallery), or add one of the ready-made photo sections from Theme sections.
Wrapping up
With Hura Album, your Facebook albums become live galleries on your Shopify store: connect once, copy a short code, and paste it into any blog post or page. Ready to try it? Install Hura Album from the Shopify App Store.
